Meet me in Paris...

Hope all you mommy's had a wonderful Mothers Day! My sister was in town for a visit with her adorable 4month baby boy. My mom, my sisters, and I had so much fun! We all got haircuts and gave each other pedicures on Friday. Saturday we had an art night. I made the piece pictured above as a gift to a dear friend that I'm going to Paris with this summer. It will be my first trip to Europe! We are totally going to dress up in period costume and have a picnic in the gardens at the Palace of Versailles. I love dressing up so this will be like a dream come true for me. I'm in the process of searching for patterns to make an 18th century dress. I've really enjoyed all the comments from my fellow flyers in Kelly Rae's class. I'm so looking forward to getting to know all of you!

  20. hello, I'm another flyer in Kelly's class too. nice to *meet* you!

I so agree with your sentiment at the top that we are all artists!!! It's so true, that's exactly why I developed the experimental art e-course as I know how much studying and doing art has meant to me!

    See you in 'class' :)

  22. Jenny - thanks for stopping by my blog - enjoyed touring yours as well & seeing all the exciting work you are up too. We are practically neighbors - I'm over the bridge in Vancouver. I too LOVE Mother's Bistro - could go there every day. This past October we celebrated our anniversary at the Overlook Inn as well - delicious brunch! Can't wait to go back. Looking forward to our flying class together. Oh, and how lucky are you to get into Judy Wise's class at Art & Soul - it was booked out by the first afternoon & I was kicking myself the whole evening.

  27. Oh, this piece is awesome, I love the vibrant mix of colours! What a coincidence, I just recently finished a piece call "C'est La Vie" for my best friend who commissioned it. I think France is such a beautiful place and I love to create vintage looks that suits it!

Looking forward to see more of your wonderfun creations!

  31. I love this piece. I am a fellow flyer in Kelly Rae's class and am just looking around. You are going to love Paris. I went twice with my BFF (2007 & 2009)and you have got to check out ParisBreakfasts the blog, which is by a watercolor artist and it is so interesting to read. It takes me to Paris every day. Make sure you go to Marie Antoinette's "summer hamlet" on the back of Versailles grounds. Enjoy and thank you for a glimpse of your art. You are an artist.
