Over the river and through the woods...

To grandmothers house we went! We returned home tonight from a lovely Easter weekend with my inlaws. They literally live in the woods. My kids call them "cabin grandma" and "cabin grandpa". Much fun was had coloring eggs, playing games, watching movies, and just enjoying each others company. It was a very wet and rainy weekend but beautiful nonetheless. Happy Easter!

  1. Jenny...
    i LOVE this.
i LOVE that your kiddos have cabin grandparents. i always wanted a grandma that lived "over the river and through the woods!" it just didn.t seem right to sing that song when we just got in the car and drove "the I-215 and go right at the zoo"....(you can sing it if it sounds better that way)
i LOVE the bear that is crawling up grandma and grandpa cabin.s porch post. those bears are the BEST!
I am so happy that you have family close enough to visit and enjoy.
Hope your easter was the best.
Mine was full of "Peace and Inspiration" wink! wink!
    loves to you.

  2. I want Cabin Grandparents! I love
the imagery of the song and you really did it! Great pic of the kids, very cute! The eggs are
well done, love the idea of
getting away. So, happy you n' your family did this, building magic memories! Rituals that will help form their traditions in the future.
