Twillight tees coming soon!

Okay, so I am one of those girls who has read all the twilight books and stood in line for hours at the midnight premieres. Last November I wanted to get some cute shirts for my daughter and I to wear to the New Moon premiere but I couldn't really find anything that I liked, so I made my own. I hand embroidered I ♥ edward and I ♥ jacob shirts for my daughter and I. I've had so many compliments on them I decided to make a couple for family and friends to wear to the premiere of Eclipse this summer! I will also have some up in my etsy shop as soon as their ready. If you haven't read the books yet...you really should. :)

The Postcard swap...

I took a leap and signed up for a handmade postcard swap on ihanna's blog! I'm busy working on mine. I think this is gonna be a lot fun! If you're interested check out the link on my sidebar. Thanks for the challenge Hanna! The above photo is one of my postcards in progress.

Snuggly baby

I spent a week visiting my sister to help take care of her after the arrival of my precious new nephew. He is such a snuggly little baby. I had so much fun making dinner for her family and keeping the cookie jar full of chocolate-chip/oatmeal cookies. Yum! I'm thankful my husband was so willing to hold down the fort while I was gone. It meant so much to me to share this special time with my sister and her family. Above is a photo of me and little George. :)

A work in progress

A friend of mine asked if I would make a painting for her daughter's bedroom. I'm working on the background right now. I hope she'll be happy with the end result.

Pawprints in the snow...

Oregon winters are always pretty cold but we don't always get snow in the valley. Last year we had a very white Christmas so I wasn't expecting any snow this year. I was surprised when it started coming down last week. My mom, my sis-inlaw, and I went to see New Moon(again) and when we left the theatre it was really coming down. Sadly it didn't last long with the temperature warming up the next day. The kids and the kittys had fun playing while it lasted.
I still can't believe it's 2010! The holidays went by so fast. We still need to take down the tree and put away the decorations. I have a long list of things I'd like to do this year: mommy daughter/son dates, practice my French for my trip this summer, start running again(a friend wants to do a 5k this spring), make a banner for my etsy shop, stitch, paint, create, paint my bathroom, read the latest house of night book, start cooking again(have had no desire lately), get a new wardrobe, start writing again, and be ready in time for next Christmas. I cut it too close this year. I did a little cleaning today and started on a new painting for a friend. I hope you will be able to accomplish whatever goals you're working toward this year! We can do it! Happy New Year!
